• He was a senior staff of the Gastroenterology Department of the Severo Ochoa´s Hospital in Madrid since 1987 (now retired), and he is also an active staff of the gastroenterology team and also one of the Head of the Gastroenterology department in the private Hospital San Rafael of Madrid since 2006.
• He was Associate Professor of Gastroenterology “Enfermería Médico Quirúrgica I “ at the Nursing school of Madrid’s Autonoma Medicine University, at the Hospital Severo Ochoa 1992– 2009
• He was an Associate Professor of Gastroenterology “Medico Quirúrgica I» at the private Medicine University of Alfonso X el Sabio, Madrid

• He is member of the Spanish Society of Gastroenterology, Spanish Society of Endoscopy and International member of the ESGE
•He belongs to the Editorial Board of the World Journal of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. -He is an international reviewer of WJG, WJGE, Clinical Medicine Insights: Gastroenterology, Revista Española de Aparato Digestivo.
