How to access San Rafael University Hospital from abroad?
Before scheduling an appointment at San Rafael University Hospital, our medical team must evaluate the clinical case. To do so, we invite you to write to us at this email: hsrmadrid.internacional@sjd.es
Next, our International Patients Department will contact you to request recent medical reports and complementary tests (imaging, lab results, etc.). You may also send us audiovisual documents (photographs or videos) that help show the patient’s current condition.
Once the case has been reviewed by our specialists, we will send you a personalized treatment proposal along with an indicative cost estimate.
From the very first contact, our goal is to provide you with efficient and personalized care.
Initial information: Our team collects the necessary details to assess your case. We will assign you a Patient Manager who will be your main point of contact throughout the process.
Case assessment: The corresponding medical team will evaluate your situation individually or through a multidisciplinary approach. Afterwards, we will send you a detailed proposal and a cost estimate in your language (Spanish, English, French, or others).
We want you to feel supported at all times, both medically and personally.
Personalized welcome: We will personally greet you upon your arrival at the hospital.
Comprehensive care: Your Patient Manager will be available to coordinate all stages of your treatment.
Family support: We make it easy for companions to be present during the care process. Our rooms are private and comfortable, with a bed for a family member.
Emotional and well-being support services: Our hospital offers spiritual care and Wi-Fi connection.
We remain by your side after discharge to ensure high-quality continuity of care.
Discharge preparation: You will receive a summary of tests and reports in Spanish or English, along with guidance to continue your treatment in your home country. We will assist you in acquiring medications or medical equipment if needed.
Remote follow-up: We provide support from your place of residence through video calls or direct coordination with your local physician. We can also help you plan a future visit for follow-up check-ups.
If you wish to begin your process with us or make an inquiry, we will be happy to assist you.
